Instructions for Posters

Call for Poster Abstracts is Now Closed

Thanks for an amazing response to the call for posters! We will have over 400 posters, covering a wide range of topics. See the list here.

The poster session will take place on Monday, August 17 (6:00-8:30 p.m.) in Exhibit Hall B and C at the Oregon Convention Center. Poster setup is scheduled for Sunday, August 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and they will be displayed until Wednesday, August 19. Posters must be removed no later than 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

We have assigned posters to a symposium, if requested; otherwise it has been grouped with the contributed posters. Due to the high demand, we were not able to accommodate all requests for electronic poster displays.

Please use the following guidelines when developing your poster:

• A poster consists of easily read text and graphics describing the objectives, methods, and findings of a fisheries-related project or study

• Posters are to be arranged as a single large display (4’ W × 3’ H [1.2 m × 0.9 m] – landscape orientation). NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE!

• Multiple- panel posters will not be accepted

• Posters should be laminated, or use a high-quality glossy paper

•Presenters should plan to bring their own materials for attaching posters to the poster boards (recommended: push pins). AFS will provide some emergency supplies.

We also recommend that you follow the guidelines presented in a recent article about making posters:
